AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended an invitation to his Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the Amaravati foundation ceremony on Thursday, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have put up banners welcoming Mr. Rao to the ceremony at different locations in the city.

The banners were put up at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium, Benz Circle, at Ram Mandir on Eluru road, Ibrahimpatnam, Agriculture Market yard, Gollapudi, Ayyappa Swamy Temple, Gollapudi on the Hyderabad road.
Ever since, the Chief Minister decided to extend invitation to Mr. Rao personally, there was a buzz in the political circles. On Sunday, when Mr. Naidu met Mr. Rao at his residence in Hyderabad for extending invitation, it hit headlines.
Many Telugu Desam leaders both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, welcomed the Telangana Chief Minister’s decision to participate in the ceremony.
Accordingly, the State government has made elaborate arrangements for his visit and he is likely to fly in a helicopter to the venue in Uddandarayunipalem.
Mr. Rao is coming to Andhra Pradesh after long time and that too for Amaravati foundation, it is a good thing, said TDP leader Katragadda Babu, who put up the banners.
“These gestures bridge the gap between the two States and pave way for stronger bonding in the coming days,” said Mr. Babu. Meanwhile, security personnel of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States conducted Advance Security Liaison (ASL) in Guntur and Vijayawada for Mr. Rao’s visit, who is in ‘Z’ Plus security category.
The Telangana Chief Minister will spend about two and a half hours at Amaravati and leave for Suryapet after the event, said official sources.
Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) officers of Telangana, Guntur and Vijayawada reviewed security coverage to Mr. Rao.
“If Mr. Rao visits Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy for darshan in Vijayawada, we are prepared for providing security. However, there is no such information,” said a senior police officer.
Police made elaborate bandobust arrangements at the helipad where the Telangana Chief Minister will land, en-route to the dais, guest room and other places.
