Tension continues to prevail in Osmania University on Wednesday as police were ready to make preventive arrests of organizers of the ‘Beef Festival’ even as the students confined themselves to hostels.
While the students belonging to Democratic Cultural Forum were hell-bent on their decision to hold the proposed beef festival on December 10 despite the High Court upholding the order of the city civil court not to allow any such festival, police personnel vowed to stall the festival. Indeed, even the college organization had denied authorization. Be that as it may, the understudies said they didn’t get any request from the Court and thus they would proceed with the fest.
On Wednesday, the two-judge PIL seat of the High Court at Hyderabad containing Acting Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt clarified that it would not pass any further requests in perspective of ‘the present state of affairs’ requests as of now went by the city common court in regards to the proposed meat celebration on OU grounds and suspended the matter to Friday. The seat was managing a writ appeal recorded by K Raju of the college.
The candidate griped that it was despicable to lead the celebration on the grounds as it would vitiate the scholastic environment.

OU Registrar Prof E Suresh Kumar repeated that no celebration would be permitted. “The Court has clarified bearings not to hold hamburger celebration. In the event that understudies take part in the celebration their confirmations will be crossed out according to the college rules. There is no adjustment in the exam plan on Thursday and all exams will be held according to the calendar,” he said.
Then, OU organization has issued round notification to all offices and educators expressing not to enjoy any action other than scholastics in the college.
OU Teacher’s Association President Prof. Battu Satyanarayana said just a gathering of understudies were inducing and attempting to compose such exercises on grounds.
“Prior governments did not make a big deal about exercises in the college. Presently the legislature is going intense. As of now understudies are occupied with contemplating and showing up for the examinations just a gathering of understudies are enjoying such exercises which will bother scholastic climate,” he included.
