Nizamabad MP and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, K Kavita has been made a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Estimates. The main function of the Committee on Estimates that consists of 30 members is to report what economies, improvements in organisation, efficiency, or administrative reform, consistent with the policy underlying the estimates may be effected and to suggest alternative policies in order to bring about efficiency and economy in administration.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan accommodated MPs from all the political parties in the state, including Congress, TRS, BJP, MIM and YSR Congress. The Speaker has given priority to the Telugu speaking members of Parliament.
Almost all TDP MPs have got a place in one or the other committees. A few TDP MPs have been appointed to two parliamentary committees. From time to time the Committee selects estimates pertaining to a Ministry or a group of Ministries or the statutory and other Government bodies as may seem fit to the Committee.
