Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said “Chitrapuri”, proposed New Film City In Telangana. will come up in 2000 acres and would be built on par with Hollywood standards.
He made these revelations when a team of film producers, directors and actors called on him. The film industry in the new state of Telangana will not just confine to making films, besides encouraging in a big way short films on peoples’ problems, TV serials, programmes, graphics, animation and other allied activities, said KCR.
The CM also maintained that he would call a meeting of noted film personalities from South and Mumbai soon and take suggestions to decide on finalizing the place for the construction of the Film City.
The CM also assured to address the problems faced by the industry. Noted director N Shankar, Film Federation of India president K Ravi, Kalyan, Sashikumar, Nandakumar and others were those who met the CM.
