CM KCR to announce Telangana Industrial Policy on June 7


The Telangana State CM KCR to announce Telangana Industrial Policy on June 7th 2015, The new Telangana Industrial Policy will be launched amidst a battery of top industrialists, representatives of multi-national companies (MNCs) and representatives from the industry.

The state government has already enacted an Act in the State Assembly on the new industrial policy – Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System (TS-iPASS) – in November last. Later, the state government took some more time to prepare operational guidelines for the policy.

Rao held a meeting with the secretaries of all the departments in the Secretariat on Monday on the launch of the TS-iPASS. TS-iPASS will ensure that all permissions for mega industries would be given in 15 days through single window system.

The state government would take the responsibility in allotting land, water and power to the industries. The chief minister said the government had allotted 1.6 lakh acres for industries to the TSIIC. The lands to industries would be given through the TSIIC, he said. T

he state government would also create basic amenities like power, water and roads in the industrial areas. Rao said that the lands allotted for setting up of industries should not be alienated to other purposes.

The state government has already issued orders allotting 10 per cent water in each irrigation project to the needs of industries. The water to industries would be supplied through the Water Grid pipelines.

The state overcome the power crisis and it is a welcoming trend for attracting new investments. By the end of next March, the state’s total installed capacity of power would be 7,000 MW, Rao said and added that by March 2017 the state would become surplus in power. Online Application:

“Now, any one can apply to the government for setting up of an industry through online. The Chasing Cell at the CMO will sort out the applications. It will invite applicants within four to five days and interact with them on their needs for starting the industry.

The chasing cell will obtain all the necessary permissions and clearances needed for the industry and give permission through single window within 15 days,” the chief minister said. Permissions for industrial corridors would be given through plug and play system.
