Telangana state Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Tuesday assured that his government would ensure Corruption free Telangana in the process of establishment of industries in the State. Launching the Phase 2.1 and 2.2 of WaveRock IT Park at Nanakramguda, the Chief Minister said investors and industrialists need not make rounds to the government offices for the process of setting up of units. Steps would be taken to root out corruption allegedly going on in the process of investments, he said.
He said his government was planning to introduce an industrial policy with due focus on ‘single window system’. Project approvals would be speeded up through an exclusive single window system with a ‘chasing’ cell attached to the Chief Minister’s Office. “The mechanism will allow investors get needed clearances in about three weeks’ time. When the system is in place, investors would not have to shuttle between the departments,” he said.
KCR said, “The brand Hyderabad and Telangana will be promoted on global level. Urban infrastructure, IT and industry will be given due attention in the government’s policies. Hyderabad has become the premier destination for IT companies. However we cannot simply rest on past laurels. We need to seek opportunities in developing IT products, services and interactive experiences and technologies for global markets.” He added, “State is keen to develop Hyderabad as the best smart and digital city in future globally.
