The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s ‘MY GHMC APP’ evoked good response from the citizens. A total of 63,150 birth certificates, 32,087 death certificates and property tax around Rs 22.16 lakh were collected from 690 property tax payers, till the last count on Thursday.
The civic body in a release said, 30 traders had paid their trade license fee amounting to Rs 72,147.
Further, the citizens can use this app to put their grievances by taking photo of the in issue, like road conditions, street light, sanitation problems etc., where through APP the message directly sent to the officer concerned in turn the officer will rectify and close the issue, if not satisfied with the action, the citizens can send message and the grievance ticket will re-open again and the information will escalate to the higher officer and monitored from there he added.
Presently the app compatible with only Android phones and the same will be extended to I-phones also in a month’s time, he said.
The minister further advised to the officials to monitor on weekly basis and send the abstract report to the Special Chief Secretary MA & UD and to him directly so that he can gauge the efficiency and responsibility of the department. KTR has downloaded his son and daughter’s birth certificates from ‘My GHMC app’ and he appreciated the officials of IT from GHMC and CGG for their efforts in the creation of My GHMC app.
Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has appealed to the citizens to utilize the services offered by the GHMC with the help of ‘My GHMC app’. With the application of advanced technology the accountability on the performance of the officers increases and he congratulated the team from IT and CGG for the “MY GHMC” app work.
B Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner of GHMC informed that always there is a scope for further improvement in delivering the services based on the response and suggestions from the citizens the services will be improved.
