The GHMC plans to introduce Mobile App for Property Tax Payers, for knowing the details of their property tax. This was revealed by municipal commissioner B Janardhan Reddy at a review meeting he held with senior officials here on Thursday.
The GHMC has targeted Rs 1,100-crore property tax collection for the current financial year. Special Officers have been appointed for collection of the tax in a time-bound manner.
Dues to the tune of Rs 250 crore are reported from just one area of Circle No 10. Special focus will be on huge tax defaulters and their names are being listed. Senior GHMC officers will meet them personally at their respective buildings to collect the tax dues. The special officers have been asked to issue warrants wherever necessary. a
All the buildings which have come up recently should be assessed immediately and tax on them should be collected on priority, he said.
West zone commissioner Gangadhar Reddy, along with tax officials, handed over a cheque for Rs 4.50 crore which had been collected from AILA properties.
Janardhan Reddy appealed to all the property tax payers in GHMC limits to pay their tax immediately and help the corporation provide civic infrastructure for overall development of the twin cities.
