Ever since Telangana has emerged out as the 29th state of India, KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has been making unique decisions. Such decisions are not only restricted to one particular area, but finding places on every walk of life.
Most recently another decision has been made to hold the Independence Day Parade this year at the Golconda fort instead of the Secunderabad Parade Grounds.
Both Chief Secretary Rajiv Sarma and DGP Anurag Sharma have been asked by the Chief Minister KCR to visit the Golconda fort on Monday to explore the possibilities of conducting the ceremonial parade there.
Nevertheless, sources close to the duo added that no such decision had been taken yet and they had only been asked to see whether another function on the same day could be held at the fort premises. From the other end, it is learnt that in a meeting held on Sunday at the residence of TRS MP Dr K. Kesava Rao (KK), attended by many senior TRS leaders, ministers and the Chief Minister, it was decided to conduct the Independence day celebrations at the historic Golconda Fort.
According to a senior TRS leader, the historic fort has been decided as the venue for the first Independence Day celebrations. During the meeting it was also decided to hold the party’s first state-level plenary session in LB Stadium in September, added the leader.
