The State Prestigious Telangana Water Grid Project get Hudco award, The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (Hudco) has appreciated the Telangana Drinking Water Project and announced a special award for the TRS government’s prestigious initiative.
The Hudco has also evinced interest to work with the Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corporation in implementing the project, which aims to ensure piped water supply across the State through novel methods.

Hudco award for Telangana Water Grid Project
Mentioning that it would deem it a great honour to work with the Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corporation, Hudco has written letters of appreciation to Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao and the Rural Water Supply Department.The Hudco has declared the award in recognition of the efforts and objectives of the corporation.
As part of its 47th anniversary celebrations in Delhi on April 27, Rama Rao, the vice-chairman of Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corporation, will receive the award. Higher officials from the State Rural Water Supply Department would accompany the Minister to Delhi.
Responding to the gesture, the Minister expressed happiness over the highest public sector undertaking offering financial aid and lending support to the mission launched by his department.

He said that the award would stand as testimony to the goal-oriented implementation of the project. At a recent workshop organised by the Centre on drinking water supply, the Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project model attracted other states’ attention. The Minister pointed out that the Centre had held out the project as a role model for others.
Some states had already evinced interest in knowing the project details. He exuded confidence that Telangana State would serve as an example for other states upon successful completion of the project. The project would be completed before 2018, he asserted
