The Telangana state government has decided to establish Kaloji Kala Kendram in Warangal, in view of the upcoming centenary birth anniversary of Kaloji. KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, will inaugurate the same on September 9.
The said Kalakendram will be established in 3 acres of land at Bala Samudram in Hanmakonda. The Chief Minister has ordered for the establishment of a huge statue of Kaloji and garden in the 3 acres land, which has been allocated for the same. KCR has opined that the proposed Kalakendram should be established like Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad. Also, it should be a multipurpose project that could be a venue for various functions like marriages, meetings et al.
The same is proposed to be established to accommodate as many as 2000 people. Instructions have been passed to nominate a suitable architect. KCR will attend the meeting in Warangal in the morning – and later in the evening he will attend the function at Ravindra Bharathi – in Hyderabad – on September 9.
The meeting will also be attended by KV Ramana Chary, an advisory to the state government, CMO’s Chief Secretary S Narsing Rao, and Cultural Director Rallabandi Kavitha Prasad.
