Telangana Jagruthi president and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha was cynosure of all eyes in Telangana Assembly on Saturday.
She came to the Assembly in the morning and sat in the visitors’ gallery for more than one hour to watch the proceedings in the House on the 12th day of the ongoing budget session.
The Assembly staff laid out a ‘red carpet’ welcome to the young MP. On her arrival, Kavitha was received by Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaram and Chief Marshal.
She was then escorted by the officials to the visitors’ gallery, and she, along with her personal staff, occupied the seats in the gallery 15 minutes before the session began.
The copy of agenda to be discussed in the House was also given to her.
Government Whip G Sunitha and MLAs from Nizamabad district rushed to the gallery and wished her. On knowing about her arrival, Ministers including her brother and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao, Finance Minister E Rajender and MLAs were also seen waving hands towards Kavitha from their seats in the House. Later, she visited Chief Minister’s and Speaker’s chambers.
