Good news for the farmers of Telangana. At last, a step towards the ‘Crop Loan Wavier’ was taken. The government of Telangana is now moving forward with post poll promise of Crop Loan Wavier.
The Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandra Shekhar Rao signed on the file report submitted by Cabinet Ministers subcommittee on crop loan wavier.
A total amount of 17000 crore is considered for Loan Wavier. Nearly 36 lakh farmers are expected to be benefitted from it. Amount of 4250 crore will be released under the first phase. Loans under 1 lakh taken by the each and every farmer will be waived off.
While making an official statement on behalf of the Telangana Government, Pocharam said, “We have kept our promise made before the elections. CM approved the report submitted by Sub-committee. The sub-committee met thrice before finalizing the report.”
“KCR is getting regular updates from the Finance and Agriculture departments. The guidelines for the loan wavier are decided. There will be no more problems for farmers on Kharif season,” said Pocharam.
“We have kept our promise. We will take care of all the farmers in our newly formed state of Telangana. Nearly 70% of people in Telangana are dependent on Agriculture. So we will concentrate more on welfare of farmers,” concluded Etela Rajendra.
