In an energizing change after days of backbiting, the CMs of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments surprised political circles on Friday by presenting smiling faces to the media. The one-time colleagues-turned foes, Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao, will meet at Raj Bhavan tomorrow i.e. August17 from 12.00pm to 1.00pm to sort out the issues.
This will be the third time after they took over as chief ministers. While the two previous meetings were protocols to be followed by the CMs, the third meeting has gained significant importance. Both the CMs accompained by speakers and CS will be discussing unresolved issues between two states and will talk about strengthening ties.
Mr. Naidu at the Independence Day celebrations in Kurnool on Friday had asserted to sort out all issues through dialogue. Hope the two CMS will amicably solve the disparities in the two states, which are locked in fight over numerous issues.
These issues include constitution of Telangana State Council of Higher Education, transfer of seven mandals of Bhadrachalam agency area to AP, release of Krishna water from Nagarajunasgar project, demolitions undertaken by the GHMC in Ayyappa Society, launch of Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana (FAST) and recent triggers of renaming of Acharya NG.
