In what could be the first engagement between them after the elections, CM KCR included TJAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram in the committee that would revising the syllabus of social studies subject in schools across the State. The two leaders who led the Telangana agitation from the forefront have not been seen together for quite a few months now, reportedly due to some differences.
Prof Kodandaram, who preferred to lead TJAC instead of contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Secunderabad, will now find himself in a team working to revise the syllabus of schools in Telangana.
Prof Kodandaram, who teaches in the Dept. of Political Science at P.G. College in Secundrabad would be working on State Level syllabus of social studies in a team and suggest changes that reflect the social and cultural ethos of Telangana society.
He would work along with Dr.K.Vijaya Babu,Prof., Dept. of History, Kakatiya University, Prof. K.Kailash, Dept. of Political Science, HCU, Hyderabad, Dr.E.S. Nagi Reddy, Dept. of Archaeology, Hyderabad.
The Commissioner and Director of School Education constituted subject-wise review committees, in Telugu language and social studies, for review of Telugu language and Social Studies textbooks to reflect Telangana culture, history, literature etc. in view of the State bifurcation. GO 51 is issued in this regard.
Chukka Ramaiah, Nandini Sidha Reddy and Deshipathi Srinivas are among those who are part of other committees.
