Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to clinch the Indian of the Year award 2014 this award being given by popular television channel CNN-IBN.
KCR, who was in the second position in the “Popular Choice Leader Board” till Friday afternoon, reached the No. 1 position by evening, securing 22 per cent of votes from people across the country, who participated in the CNN-IBN survey conducted on popular social networking site Facebook.

Senior IPS officer from Kerala P Vijayan, who was till the other day in the No. 1 position with 22 per cent votesm, dropped to second position with 21 per cent votes.
Vijayan was acknowledged for waging relentless battle against narcotics and striving for a drug-free society. Popular Bollywood actor Aamir Khan continues to remain in the third position but the percentage of votes secured by him fell down from nine to eight.
The fourth and fifth positions continue to be shared by Indian Army and National Disastrous Response Force and Hyderabad-born Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft with six and five per cent of votes respectively.
The award, sponsored by GMR group, will be presented at a Grand Finale to be held in New Delhi on January 31.
