Telangana state Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday sent 50 water purifier machines each costing Rs 5 lakh to ensure that stranded people in Jammu and Kashmir floods have access to clean drinking water.

The people in Jammu and Kashmir had no access to quality water ever since the flood hit the State 10 days ago. The Chief Minister took the initiative of providing safe drinking water to people stranded in the valley.

This is in addition to the financial support of Rs 10 crore announced by Telangana government for flood relief in Jammu and Kashmir.

These machines are being transported by a special flight to Srinagar, according to an official press release.
