The 59 feet Khairatabad Ganesh 2015 will be in the style of Thrishaktimaya Moksha Ganapathi for the Ganesh Chathurthi that begins on September 17 2015.

The Ganesha will be in a standing position, with goddesses Saraswati and Lakshmi. To the right of the main Ganesh idol will be a depiction of Gajendra Moksham, displaying an elephant and a crocodile and on the left will be Bhadrakali in a sitting position.
The Ganesh Utsav Committee is yet to decide on the weight of the laddu, which can be ordered after the construction of the idol is complete.
Nearly 150 artists were working on different parts of the idol, work began on June 12, Sarvesham Ekadasi.
Mostly the artists are from Chennai and the remaining from Hyderabad. Selection of the design took a month, and was finalised by the committee’s chairman, secretary and the artists. The idol will be immersed in the Hussainsagar on Sunday, September 27.

Khairtabad Ganesh is one of the tallest Lord Ganesh Idol installed at Khairtabad, Hyderabad, India. It is immersed at Hussain sagar lake. In 2013, a 59 feet Ganesh idol was installed to mark the completion of 59 years and a 4200 kg ladoo kept in the plam that was made in Tapeswaram.
The practice of installing the Lord Ganesh idol started in 1954. The local committee was formed by Singari Shankaraiah Mudiraj called as Ganesh Utsav Committee, Khairtabad.
