Kollapur Mandal, Wiki, Palace: The Kollapur sansthan region is an area spanning the Nallamala forest area on the banks of the river Krishna in the Mahbubnagar district Telangana state, India. The Someshwara, Sangameshwara, Malleshwara, Singotam Narashima swamy temples are in this region.

Hundreds of ancient temples are visible in the area, mainly built over 1,500 years ago. Due to similar broad roads and surrounding tree plantations, people used to refer to Kollapur as Telangana Mysore (a reference to the larger city of Mysore).

The renowned Madhava Swamy temple at Kollapur, constructed by Rajas of Jetprole during the 16th century A.D. is located near River Krishna, at Manchalakatta.

Somasila is a small village near Kollapour Town. It is a place of spiritual importance. This place has so many interesting tourist attractions like water falls, trekking and ashramam.

The temple is Someshwara temple. Presiding deity here is Lord Shiva. And it is one of the most admired temples among temples of Lord Shiva. Here Lord shiva is worshipped in form of Shivling( Idol form of Lord Shiva ).

Goddess Kanaka Durga manifested herself (Swayambhu) on a small hill known as Indrakeeladri situated on the Bank of River Krishna at Vijayawada.T his temple is known as Malleshwara temples. The shrine is said found to be during 8thcentury. The temple was constructed during the Regime of Mughalaya rulers.

Madhava Swamy temple at Kollapur is also very famous and it was was formerly built by the Rajas of Jetprole during the 16 th century A.D bank of river Krishna, at Manchalakatta. The architecture of the temple is very pleasing and all around the temple walls look splendid with detailed carvings on it.

It mainly depicts the 24 aspects of Vishnu and the Dasa-Avatars of Vishnu. One could find Numerous pillars supporting the Mandapa, the Garudalaya which adds a spiritual look to the temple.Due to the Merging of Srisailam project the temple was shifted to Kollapur

Kotla Venkatasubbaiah was the Deewan Bahadur during pre-independence period. Kotlas were the migrants from Bengal/Orissa region who came here and settled in Kollapur. They married locals of all castes in Telangana. Kotla Ranganayakamma who would have been 120 years today was very strong in Vedas . Pagidala Manoramamma , now presently living in Mahbubnagar was great administrator of her time.

Singavatnam is a place which is 9 km distance from Kollapur and it has the very famous Sri Laxmi Narsimha Swamy temple and reservoir which is serving nine villages by irrigating the lands.

Jetprole about 15 km distance from kollapur and it is also a very good tourist attraction having ancient Sri Venugopalaswamy temple and landscape near by the riverside.

There is no railway station near to Kollapur Mandal in less than 10 km. Only Hyderabad Deccan Rail Way Station is major railway station 161 KM near to Kollapur.
