Modern Rythu Bazaars in all Assembly Segments Announcing the sanction of three modern rythu bazaars in Ramagudam, Vemulawada and Sircilla towns in Karimnagar district, Minister for Major Irrigation and Marketing T Harish Rao has said that the State government was taking all measures for setting up a modern rythu bazaar in all Assembly segments in the State.

Speaking after inaugurating the modern rythu bazaar which is said to be the first of its kind in the State to sell vegetables and non-vegetarian food at one place constructed at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore in Karimnagar town on Sunday, Mr Harish Rao also announced construction of a cold storage at the rythu bazaar to store the farmers produce.
He also promised to sanction four more rythu bazaars in Karimnagar town if the district authorities identify the land.
Stating that the rythu bazaars were aimed to benefit both the farmers the consumers, he informed the district authorities to encourage the farmers of Karimnagar mandal to take up vegetable cultivation by using green house, drip irrigation facilities etc. He also instructed the authorities to operate special RTC buses from the villages to the rythu bazaar to exclusively transport vegetables.
Instructing the municipal authorities to take measures to ensure that no vegetable or fruit vendors sell their products on the roads and they should be shifted to the spacious rythu bazaar, he also appealed to the vegetable vendors and others to sell their products only at the rythu bazaar or else the construction of rythu bazaar would be of no use.
Minister for Finance Etala Rajender said that the government was taking all steps to transform Karimnagar town on all fronts by spending more than Rs 300 crore.
He said that they were constructing a hanging bridge across the river Manair and developing the Brindavan garden on the shores of LMD reservoir. Karimnagar legislator G Kamalakar urged the Minister for Marketing to construct a canteen to provide food at Rs 5 per plate.
