The Nizamabad MP K kavitha urges people to make Haritha Haram programme a success, As a first step on Wednesday, MP K. Kavitha helped in planting 10,000 plants on the police land in Dharmasagar mandal.
With a view to transform the 82 acre land belonging to the Police Department, Warangal city police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu drew up a plan to plant one lakh plants.
Groundwater level
The greenery helps bring more rain and recharges the groundwater level. The police involved students of Kasturba girls hostel and some engineering college students in the programme.
Ms. Kavitha urged students to take the initiative and inspire others to participate in the Haritha Haram programme.
District Collector Vakati Karuna, DIG B. Malla Reddy, SP (Rural) Ambar Kishore Jha and police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu each planted a sapling on the occasion.
