The Government of Telangana decided not to hold 3rd Phase Eamcet Counselling for admissions into engineering and pharmacy courses through Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari here on Friday said that as per the Supreme Court verdict, engineering counselling had to be completed by July 31 and classes should be scheduled to commence from August 1.
A top official of Education department said that conducting counselling after deadline requires the permission of apex court.
As many as 26,695 engineering and about 4,093 pharmacy convener seats remained unfilled after second phase of counselling. In the second counselling, a total of 3,430 candidates failed to get seats as they did not to give enough options for seat allotment.
With no third counselling, the candidates who did not get seats would have to go for spot admissions. However, such candidates would not be eligible for the fee reimbursement, the minister clarified.
