Palamuru evacuees get state aid
Keeping its word to the people who were displaced due to the Palamuru Lift Irrigation project in the backward Mahbubnagar district, the Telangana government on Monday granted monetary assistance to them.
Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao distributed cheques for an amount of Rs 2.05 crore among 12 victims of Palamur Lift Irrigation project at Nagarkurnool RDO office.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the State government was committed to help the project victims with timely monetary assistance. “We will complete the pending projects at the earliest. CM K Chandrashekar Rao is keen on expediting the works to complete the projects in the district to surpass others in the irrigation sector.
We are planning to get abundant water resources on the completion of irrigation projects to enable the farmers to get water for their crops,” he said.
Krishna Rao said the new industrial policy of the TRS government was fetching huge investments to the State. The State government was giving permissions to new companies and industries in 12 days to help them invest in the State and provide employment to the youth, Krishna Rao added.
