Nizamabad to Secunderabad Nanded Passenger Train dashed a Kakatiya School bus near Masaipeta, Veldurthi mandal of Medak district. The accident occured near the railway crossing gate.
The bus met with an accident when it was travelling from Islampur to madhapet. The accident occured near Masaipet Railway crossing.
Absence of the Railway gate is reported to be one of the major reasons for the mishap. Negligence and lack of alertness of the School Bus driver, are stated as reasons for the accident by an eye witness.
About 20 school students along with the driver are reported to be dead in the accident. As per the sources, about 30 students were travelling in the Bus. The death toll is expected to rise.
