S.K. Joshi Appointed New Chief Secretary of Telangana. Sri Shailendra Kumar Joshi has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Telangana. Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has taken a decision to this effect.
Accordingly, the government has issued orders appointing Sri Joshi as Chief Secretary. Sri Joshi currently is working as Special Chief Secretary to Irrigation Department.
The government earlier had written to the Centre seeking a three-month extension of service to Mr. Singh as he was supervising the progress of Mission Bhagiratha for supplying piped drinking water to all households in the State.
With no communication from the Prime Minister’s Office approving the extension to Mr. Singh, who is retiring on Wednesday on attaining superannuation, the State government issued orders.
Mr. Joshi will be taking charge as the fourth Chief Secretary of Telangana State.
