The Government of Telangana is all set to develop a New film city and a sports city at Rachakonda in the neighbouring Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts Telangana state.
This was decided after chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao conducted an aerial survey of Rachakonda along with ministers G Jagadish Reddy and P Mahender Reddy, and chief secretary Rajiv Sharma on Monday.
Officials informed KCR that 31,000 acres is available in Rachakonda, covering Narayanpur and Choutuppal mandals in Nalgonda district and Kandukur mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
After the survey, the chief minister decided to set up a film city, sports city, educational institutes and non-polluting industries in the area.
All non-polluting industries should be located in Rachakonda, the chief minister said. The collectors of Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts were also present during the CM’s visit.
