The Telangana State Government Welcomes to novel initiative Swachh Telangana Swachh Hyderabad Campaign will be starting from 16th to 20th May 2015 to make a clean Telangana and Hyderabad. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday directed the officials to prepare a master plan to turn Hyderabad into a clean and green city in Next 3 years

Swachh Telangana Swachh Hyderabad Campaign Details

More than 6000 peoples participating, Including Telangana State Governor, CM, Ministers, IAS, IPS and Other officers will participate in the Swachh Hyderabad Campaign Starts from 16th to 20th May 2015.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government would spend Rs 50 lakh on each area and Rs 200 crore have been earmarked for the purpose. He said a committee of 15 local residents should be formed and subsequently, 6,000 Change Agents should be involved in the swachh Hyderabad campaign. He said 50 per cent of Change Agents should be women.

The Swachh Hyderabad Unit will be managed by a team comprising of GHMC Nodal Officer, Police Official, HMWS&SB official, Bill Collector, Sanitary field assistants and Sanitation workers.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has officially announced design a swachh telangana swachh hyderabad logo and get Rs: 51,000 prize amount.

GHMC Swachh Hyderabad Groups

The GHMC Hyderabad is divided into 400 units with each of them of 1.5 sq kms and managed by specific teams involving 15 local peoples. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana state Mr.K.Chandra Shekar Rao, Parliamentary Secretaries, All India Services and other senior Heads of the Departments of Government of Telangana.

Each unit will be headed by a senior public representative and senior officers and will be the in charge of that particular segment. The each unit will concentrate on sanitation and other civic related works to be taken up in each segment.

GHMC Swachh Hyderabad Control Rooms

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has set up control rooms at zonal offices and at the head office in addition to the 24X7 Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation call centre 21 11 11 11. Meanwhile, in order to simplify and streamline reporting, a special mobile app and a Web-based reporting system has also been developed.

A smartphone application has been created on ‘Swachh Hyderabad’ and information about the initiative may be exchanged on messaging services as well as social networking sites, it said.
