Rallies Meetings Banned in Hyderabad

Prohibitory orders will be in place in Hyderabad city from 5 am between December 5 and 7. City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy has said the Rallies Meetings Banned in Hyderabad.

“Reliable information has been received that certain groups are trying to create disturbances affecting public peace and order in Hyderabad City by inciting communal animosity between different communities in connection with the anniversary of demolition of the disputed structure at Ayodhya on December 6. To maintain public order, peace and tranquillity in Hyderabad, rallies, processions and public meetings are banned,” the commissioner said.

He said that bike rallies, gathering of people, making speeches, gestures or displaying pictures, symbols, placards and flags which would create religious animosity or hatred between different communities were banned, except those expressly permitted by police. Meanwhile, the police commissioner also prohibited carrying of deadly weapons, public gatherings, usage of mikes and public addressing systems around the Secretariat, including Burgula Rama Krishna Rao building, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation , Commissioner of Fisheries building, Mint Compound, Nizam College and its surroundings, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly premises and surrounding roads, Public Garden at Nampally, Upper Tank bund, I–MAX, Rotary and NTR Marg roads also flyover leading from Secretariat to Visweswarayya statue in Khairatabad from 6 am on December 5 to 12.
