The Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao formally launched the Grama Jyothi Scheme aimed at transforming villages in the state at Gangadevipalli Village in Warangal district on 117 Aug 2015.

Addressing the Grama Sabha, CM KCR announced Rs 10 crore for the development of the Gangadevipalli village and 100 KV power plant. “My support will always be there for this village. We will build a Gurukul Residence school in the village. Tomorrow, a GO will be released to this effect,” he said.
Gangadevipalli should become a mosquito free village and it should compete with cities in terms of the development, KCR said. The Telangana CM also promised to construct double bedroom houses for all the homeless people in the village.
Earlier in the day, the Telangana CM received a grand welcome to the modern village. He participated in Haritha Haaram programme before launching Grama Jyothi programme.
He was accompanied by speaker Madhusudana Chary, Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari and several MLAs and MPs during the tour.
