What is LRS Scheme in Telangana?
Layout Regularisation Scheme by the government of Telangana in order to promote urban development in an environmentally friendly and healthy manner decided to go in a more professional way by following approved layouts and through public-private partnerships bring in integrated townships.
Many unapproved and illegal ways of development were immediately seized which were hampering the statutory development plan like providing street lights, proper roads, and sewage systems. Substandard approval plans and land divisions were becoming an obstacle in proper planned development and extension of services and amenities to the local bodies for rural areas.
The Telangana Government through its LRS Scheme has planned to bring in all the undeveloped plots of land into the fold of development to provide basic facilities and improve the overall quality of life for its citizens and therefore the Government issued the Rules for Regularization of Unapproved and Illegal Layouts.
