Telangana 2 BHK House Scheme launching today
It is a big day for Telangana State government with its flagship 2-bedroom housing scheme set to be inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami on Thursday. It has set a target to build nearly 60,000 houses in 10 districts in the next eight months.
He will then depart to Medak district to inaugurate the scheme in Erravalli and Narsannapet villages later in the evening.
Meanwhile, Ministers in KCR’s Cabinet will be attending inauguration programme of 2-bedroom houses to be held at the district headquarters.
KCR’s son and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao as well as Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav will be laying foundation stone for 2-bedroom houses in Hamal Basthi under Padmarao Nagar limits.
On the other hand, legislators will be the Chief Guests in similar programmes to be held in each Assembly segment.
It may be mentioned here that the government is building these two bedroom homes, complete with a common living area, a kitchen and two toilets, for the poor.
These 560 sq ft homes are being built at a cost of Rs 5.04 lakhs. Housing for poor has been one of the prominent promises made by the TRS party in its 2014 elections manifesto.
