Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the brain behind the day, appealed to people to make the survey a success. “The survey is being conducted across Telangana.
People should stay at home and provide details to the enumerators,” he said. Mr Rao himself will stay put at the CM’s camp office along with family members to provide information to enumerators and leave for Singapore with a high level delegation the same night.
He made it clear that the survey was aimed to provide welfare schemes to Telangana people and to ascertain the needs of family members in a household.
On the instructions of the CM, TRS ministers, legislators, senior party leaders and cadre also launched an intensive campaign to educate masses on the usefulness of the survey and sought their co-operation.
