The Telangana Jagruti Detroit branch was inaugurated recently at in USA. Telangana Jagruti president and Nizamabad MP Kavitha was the chief guest at the function.
Members of various American Telugu Associations Detroit Telangana Community, TANA, ATA, NATA, NATS, Telangana NRI Association, Telangana Development Forum felicitated Kavitha on the occasion.
The programme started with lightening of a lamp and paying homage to the martyrs of Telangana movement and paying tributes to Professor Jayashanker.
Addressing the gathering, Kavitha said to fulfill the dreams of martyrs of Telangana movement, everyone should come forward in making Telangana a Bangaru Telangana. She further said that Jagruti at America shall stand as a bridge between Telangana community as well as American NRIs in resolving their problems duly coordinating with the existing American Telugu Associations.

Telangana Jagruti president Kavitha announced the newly formed committee of Jagruthi branch in North America. The committee comprises Sridhar Bhandaru, Sumanth Garakarajula, Murali Bommaneni, Narsing Raj Goulikar, Kiran Guntika, Bindulatha, Venkat Mathena and others.
Around 1,000 Telangana NRIs participated in the programme. Several artists including mimicry artist Siva Reddy, Madhu Priya, Rahul, Ravi, Janardhan Vennela took part in the cultural events organised on the occasion.
