It is this hopping across departments that has turned a nightmare for the already traumatized victims. The helpline would be equipped with the databank on zila panchayats, village panchayats and grama sabhas so that whenever a complaint is received by the helpline, the relevant local authority would reach out to the victim in the quickest possible time to provide aupport.

The CM reviewed, at the Secretariat, the recommendations of Poonam Malakondaiah committee of IAS and IPS officers on women’s issues. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Director General of Police Anurag Sharma, Commissioners of Police of Hyderabad and Cyberabad and members of the committee led by Principal Secretary Poonam Malakodaiah were present.
A team from Telangana recently visited Delhi and studied the logistical and operational parts of 181 helpline there.
