IT minister K T Rama Rao, in an interview with a television channel, said the TRS would come up with a separate manifesto for GHMC elections. and also he said “Seemandhra people are feeling fully secure and living at liberty in the city. There is no such thing like settlers and all those people living in Hyderabad are Hyderabadis and we are supplying electricity and water to all,”

Claiming that the law and order situation in Hyderabad was under control, Rama Rao said all apprehensions of some people about safey and security were proven wrong. Exuding confidence of victory in the GHMC elections, Rama Rao said all the five surveys conducted by his party indicated that the party was coming to power. “The surveys indicated that we will cross the required magic figure on our own.”

Rama Rao said TRS would go it alone in the GHMC elections without forging alliance with any party. The TRS government in the state planned various developmental works in the last 18 months to make Hyderabad a global city.

“There were no power cuts in the city during summer this year for the first time. Work on the Godavari and Krishna water diversion for drinking water has been speeded up. Though major reservoirs like Singur and Osmansagar have dried up, the government has overcome the problem and is supplying drinking water to Hyderabad,” he said.

He said a large number of industries had come up in Hyderabad. “There is security and freedom for the lives of Seemandhra people. We are confident enough that the TRS would bag majority seats in GHMC polls,” Rama Rao said.

Asked about the lack of cadre for TRS in Hyderabad, Rama Rao asserted that whether TRS was weak or strong in Hyderabad would be debated only after the polls.
