The Telangana State Public Service Commission constituted TSPSC syllabus committee submitted its report to the TSPSC Chairman Ghanta Chakrapani on Thursday suggesting little changes in the syllabus of various recruitment examinations for Telangana Government jobs.
Prof. Haragopal said on TSPSC syllabus
That there is no need for any concern among students on the scheme of the examination or the changes in the syllabus, which will now be more oriented to testing the knowledge of candidates on Telangana’s history, geography, geology and its revenue aspects.
They felt the changes were necessary to ensure that selected candidates have a proper understanding of the issues and contribute better during their service period.
TSPSC shifted Posts in Group II to Group I
The TSPSC committee members reminded that the previous government issued orders shifting some gazetted posts of Group-II like Municipal Commissioners, Asst Commercial Tax Officers, Deputy Tahsildars and Sub-Registrars among others, to Group-I.
All the exams to be conducted from 2014 have to be as per the changed G.O.
The present committee, in private, agreed that the executive positions of Group-II should remain in Group-II as the applicants for both Group-I and Group-II are totally different in their approach towards the exam, but it was for the government to take a decision on it.
“We have to follow the existing G.O. only but the government can change it if it desires so,” a member, pleading anonymity, said. Moreover, as per the A.P. Reorganisation Act all the existing G.O.s will be in vogue for two years.
Prof. Chakrapani said the report would be sent to the government within a week and it has the authority to accept it totality or make changes. “The final decision is with the government,” he said. With regard to issuance of job notifications, he reminded that the commission can only issue notification and conduct the exam after the government notifies the vacancies and requests for recruitment.
