Special Buses for Krishna Pushkaram
The buses will be plied to 55 major locations in Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts. Of these, 27 are in Mahabubnagar and 28 in Nalgonda district.
Minister for Transport P. Mahender Reddy shared these details with the media at a press conference here on Wednesday.
A total of 248 buses will be plied to Beechupally in Mahabubnagar, of which 120 will be from Hyderabad. To Nagarjunasagar, 160 buses will be plied, of which 95 will start from Hyderabad.
Srisailam will have 150 services, of which 77 will be from Hyderabad. Fifty more buses will be plied to Vijayawada, 25 of them, all air-conditioned, from Hyderabad. These apart, 235 additional buses will be run from various locations of Khammam to Vijayawada.
Somasila will have 55 buses, while Mattampally will have 60 and Wadapally, 32 buses, and 165 more will be plied to various other locations. Further, the corporation has designated 210 more buses at various locations to carry devotees from bus stations to Pushkar ghats.
These include 60 buses between Pebbair and Rangapur in Mahabubnagar district, 80 buses from Pottichalma to Nagarjunasagar and 40 from Bothalapalem to Wadapally in Nalgonda district, and 30 more buses at Mattampally in Nalgonda.
A total of 400 employees, including Executive Directors and Regional Managers, have been deployed exclusively to look after transport arrangements, Mr. Reddy informed. Relief vans have been kept ready at 10 locations with necessary mechanical staff for carrying out emergency repairs.
