The TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) will be constitute on May 14th 2015 and from that day onwards it will work individually, said by Telangana Transport Minister Patnam Mahender Reddy.
Inaugurating the newly built RTA office at Narsannapalli, near Kamareddy on Thursday, he said according to the AP reorganisation Act, the APSRTC should divide and a separate road transport corporation for Telangana should be established.
He informed that the State government has released Rs 150 crore in the budget for the TSRTC to purchase 400 Pallevelugu buses and 100 others. On the occasion, he appealed to the agitating RTC employees to call off their strike immediately and cooperate with government.
He said if government accepts the 43 per cent fitment, the corporation should increase the bus fares up to 40 per cent, which would not be affordable by the people.
The Minister appealed to the RTA employees to perform their duties perfectly, reach the targets and increase the income of the transport department. He informed that in April month Nizamabad transport department collected Rs 8.96 crore as against Rs 10.56 crore and asked the department to reach the targets and support the government.
