A song dedicated to the missing VNR VJIT students

A Song dedicated to the missing VNR VJIT students of Beas tragedy goes viral on social media websites. The length of the song is approximately five minutes is originally uploaded by the Teluguone network on social media website, is sung by Niharika with music direction by Seenu Iyer and lyrics written by Anand Korva was uploaded.

The song also shows pictures in background taken by students during their four day tour. Two weeks after the tragedy in Beas river, bodies of three victims, B. Ritwik Rao, M. Kiran Kumar, and Ch. Parameswar were brought to Hyderabad on Monday. Bodies of Kiran and Parameswar were later taken to their native places in Khammam and Warangal and Kiran’s last rites were performed in Khammam on Monday. B. Ritwik Rao, 19, a brilliant student of second year, B.Tech EIE batch, was known in VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute for his leadership qualities.

“He was the vice-chairman of institute’s convergence fest last year. He had been working hard for the upcoming fest of this academic year earning many sponsorships for the programme,” said his classmate and a mishap survivor Khetan. Ritwik, who was a resident old Nallakunta, was a close friend of another Beas victim Devashish Bose. The second student, M. Kiran Kumar, had rescued three students by pushing them towards banks before being swept away in the swirling water.

VNR college students have said that they would request the government to honour Kiran with a posthumous bravery award.
