Vote Hyderabad to campaign in IT corridor
The Vote Hyderabad group is taking up the voter awareness campaign in the IT corridor for the GHMC elections. In a bid to increase the polling percentage in the upcoming GHMC elections, various organisations have come together to spread awareness in the IT corridor.
Led by Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA), Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) and FACTLY have come together to launch the ‘VOTE HYDERABAD’ campaign.
In the run up to the GHMC elections, the following activities are being planned:
- Hoardings and posters will be put up in all the IT firms explaining the importance of voting in GHMC elections.
- A website (www.votehyderabad.org) is being launched as a one stop shop for all the information on GHMC elections like voter awareness material, finding one’s name in the voter list, finding the right polling booth, candidate details etc.
- A social media campaign is being launched on a large scale to reach the entire IT fraternity
- Awareness sessions will be conducted in large IT companies and IT Parks and employees will be encouraged to become Voter Ambassadors The group called upon all those in the IT corridor to support the initiative and spread the word
