Warangal Featured in the Top 50 on Swachh Bharat list, No town in the Telangana state figures in the top 25 cleanest places in the country, according to the Swachh Bharat rankings announced by the Centre on Saturday.

Among the 476 Class 1 cities nationwide, with a population of one lakh and above, Secunderabad was ranked at 191 and Hyderabad, 275. Warangal 33 and Nizamabad 82. Adilabad was ranked 349 in the Swachh Bharat rankings announced by the Centre on Saturday. The survey covered 11 in Telangana.
Swachh Bharat survey covers 11 Telangana cities
The cities were surveyed for total sanitation practices covering a set of parameters including the extent of open defecation, solid waste management, seepage management, waste water treatment, drinking water quality, surface water quality of water bodies and mortality due to water borne diseases.
The survey, conducted during 2014-15, was commissioned by the Union ministry of urban development under the National Sanitation Policy of 2008.
