Here is good news for Telangana & AP State cricket lovers, telugu fans can now watch Indian Premier League (IPL) matches live in Warangal and Guntur towns with an added incentive.
There will be Telugu commentary to provide the native touch. In a first-of-its-kind innovation, Multi-Screen Media (MSM), the broadcasters of Sony SIX and Sony KIX, will organise ‘IPL Fans Park’ in both places for the benefit of local cricket fans on all the weekends that feature matches of the eighth edition of IPL.
Prasana Krishna, Business Head, Sony SIX & Sony KIX, said to media Apart from these two towns, the park-provision is being extended in 13 other towns across the country here on Monday.
A case in point was that of Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad, he said, had 25 per cent more viewership than the national average and better than Chennai and Bengaluru.
Warangal and Guntur, he said, figure among 15 locations in the country, where in association with BCCI, Fan Parks will be set up by Sony essentially to screen matches on giant screens. Replete with food and beverage arrangements, the concept will be an attempt to recreate the experience of watching IPL matches in a stadium. Entry will be free.
