Won’t Allow TRS to Go Back On Promises
The BJP which adopted a cautious approach while criticizing TRS , now decided to oppose tooth and nail any decision that is anti-people and also if government went back on the promises made in its manifesto. The distance between both the parties, which collectively fought on the issue of separate State nailing the Congress party over the years, widened after TRS went alone in the elections.
Party president G Kishan Reddy talking to reporters on Friday, said “TRS got absolute majority by bagging 63 seats in the Assembly. Now they have to perform, our party will not allow TRS to backtrack on its promises ,” said Kishan Reddy. Reddy said the other issues can take time but the loan waiver issue is very important one. The TRS leader’s statements on the loan waiver are making the farmers insecure and they are resorting to suicides. “No matter five years or ten years back, the loans to the tune of Rs 1 lakh should be waived off,” demanded Reddy.
Reddy also said that he along with the party leaders urged the PM Modi and other Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Sushma Swaraj, and Nitin Gadkari to provide cooperation to the new State. He said that they made a representation to the PM on providing safe drinking water to the fluoride affected areas, road connectivity to villages, steel plant in Bayyaram, airports at Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal.
Reddy said that they urged the ministers to set up special high power committee to look into the issues of people affected in Gulf countries and appoint Telugu speaking officials for better understanding of the issues. They have also urged the ministers to have more cities from Telangana in the 100 smart cities plan of urban development ministry.
Reddy spoke to Union Law Ministerand urged him make arrangements for separate HCs of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana. Reddy said that the minister responded and supported the demand.
