The World Bank has Released “Assessment of State Implementation of Business Reforms”, with a score of 70.12 per cent. Telangana state has been ranked 13, with a 42.45 per cent score. The ranking was based on a assessment on 98 parameters.
In “Setting up of Business,” AP was ranked second after Punjab with a score of 78.57 per cent. The World Bank took note of Telangana State’s new industrial policy.

While the World Bank has been working for many years with officials of the Government of India, this gained traction only in the last one year thanks to the political commitment coupled with renewed efforts of officials of Central and State governments to make India an easy and simple place to do business,” said Mr. Ruhl.
