World class roads at Hyderabad city soon
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao made announcements on series of measures to develop the capital city of Hyderbad as the destination for Business and Industry. His proclamations include world-class roads with an investment of Rs.10,000 crore up to a length of 1,000 km, two corridors connecting four corners of Hyderabad and four lakh LED street lights.
Keeping in view the requirements of capital, especially the IT sector, CM KCR said global consultants will be hired to prepare a plan and make Hyderabad best place for the industry with single window clearance system.
He said the technology for the roads would be better than the one used in cities like New York and London and also said roads to a length of 500 km would be completed in two years and the remaining 50 percent would be done in another two years.
Opposing the proposal mooted by officials for construction of 25 flyovers, CM said an east-west four-lane corridor (skyway) would be developed between Vanasthalipuram and Ramachandrapuram and north south on the same lines.
Speaking at the inauguration of Hyderabad property show organized by Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), KCR said that Hyderbad would soon grow faster than any other city in the country.
With the existing system of obtaining 40 no-objection certificates from different departments is for only for taking bribes from developers, KCR promised a single window system to give all clearances for real estate projects. He also added that legislation in this regard would be passed in coming session of the assembly
KCR guaranteed to do away with regulations like mandatory permission from civil aviation ministry for each building and declared withdrawal of Non-Agricultural Land Assessment (NALA) tax imposed on real estate firms.
Terming the stagnation of rain water as a shame on administrator, CM announced to develop 1,500 major and medium rain water drains to permanently solve the problem of flooding of roads and residential colonies during rainy season.
He said another outer ring road would be developed in addition to the existing one with satellite townships and specialized clusters like pharma city, sports city, health city and cinema city.
While describing corruption as the biggest ill in plaguing society, he promised corruption free environment in Telangana and assured real estate the developers that he will create a tranquil environment for them.
